The former producer has gained over 25 pounds recently, exacerbating his diabetes and heart issues. A severe tongue infection hinders swallowing, prompting choking fears, and he’s currently at Bellevue Hospital for treatment.
Missed medications, untreated palpitations, and poor mobility support add to his woes. Rikers’ harsh conditions—cold temperatures, inadequate food, and clothing—worsen his state. He previously underwent emergency heart surgery while behind bars.
Convicted of r*pe in 2022, Weinstein insists he’s innocent and seeks a retrial.
The NYC Department of Corrections has not commented.
