Detroit Pistons Limit Playoff Ticket Sales For Local Buyers, Says Move Will Block ‘Ticket Brokers & Frauds’, Not Knicks Fans

he Detroit Pistons have limited ticket sales for their home playoff games to buyers with credit card billing addresses in Michigan and parts of Ohio, Indiana, and Ontario.

This move sparked speculation that Detroit was trying to block New York Knicks fans from flooding Little Caesars Arena. However, a Pistons spokesman told The Post,” This approach is not about keeping any particular group out. It’s about protecting our fans and maintaining the integrity of our ticketing process.”

The team says it’s targeting “ticket brokers and frauds,” not Knicks supporters.

“We implemented geo-fencing for two main reasons,” the spokesman said. “First, we saw a high volume of ticket brokers attempting to buy up large blocks of tickets… Second, we continue to face ongoing threats of fraud.”

Knicks fans are known for overwhelming opposing arenas, but Detroit’s loyal base is energized after its first winning season since 2015-16.

The series starts Saturday at 6 p.m. ET in New York.

Will you be hitting the big game?
