Update: The g*nman who opened fire Thursday at Florida State University is the son of a sheriff’s deputy and reportedly used his parent’s service g*n.
The 20-year-old shooter, identified as Phoenix Ikner. His parent has reportedly been with the Leon County Sheriff’s Office for 18 years.
Phoenix was also a student at FSU. Unfortunately, a motive remains unclear at this time. At least two people have passed away.

An active shooter was reported Thursday afternoon (April 17) at Florida State University near the Student Union. At least four people were injured and taken to the hospital, according to officials.
The campus was placed on lockdown, and students were told to shelter in place. A suspect has been taken into custody, though police have not confirmed if it is the shooter.
