Ex CNN Host Chris Cuomo Shuts Down Podcast Reunion w/ Don Lemon, Demands Apology For Not Backing Him During 2021 Scandal
Chris Cuomo shut down the idea of a podcast with Don Lemon, saying bluntly, “Why would I do it? You think he’s going to apologize to me? Do it to me, man to man.”
On the “Home Team” podcast, Chris Cuomo called out Don Lemon’s loyalty, adding, “I am a loyalty guy…that’s the end of the analysis for me…You’re ride or die, or you’re not.”
Once stars of CNN’s popular “The Handoff,” Chris Cuomo now says their bromantic banter was scripted by ex-boss Jeff Zucker: “You’ve gotta stay over on his show to help mitigate whatever’s going to come out of his mouth.” Insiders call Cuomo’s version “absurd.”
The friendship fractured during Cuomo’s 2021 scandal, when Lemon allegedly failed to back him. Cuomo, now at NewsNation and suing CNN for $100 million, also shaded Don Lemon’s YouTube show: “I don’t find what he’s saying particularly interesting.”
If you recall, CNN fired Cuomo after revelations that he secretly aided the defense of his older brother, former Gov. Andrew Cuomo during his misconduct allegations. Cuomo was also facing a s*xual misconduct allegation of his own.
