Karmelo Anthony, Teen Accused Of Fatally St@bbing Fellow Track Runner, Moves To Undisclosed Location For Safety Reasons
Karmelo Anthony, the 17-year-old accused of fatally st@bbing fellow track runner Austin Metcalf, has reportedly been moved to an undisclosed location for his safety.
According to reports, Anthony and his family had been receiving thre@ts and “disturbing mail,” while strangers gathered outside their home, taking pictures. The court-approved relocation came just days after Anthony was released on bond and placed on house arrest with an ankle monitor.
Meanwhile, Judge Angela Tucker, who reduced Anthony’s bond from $1 million to $250,000, is also under protection after receiving death threats.

The st@bbing took place during a high school track meet on April 2. Police say the two students—Anthony, who is Black, and Metcalf, who was white—argued after Metcalf told Anthony, who wasn’t sitting with his own school, to move. A witness claimed Anthony warned, “Touch me and see what happens,” before allegedly st@bbing Metcalf once in the chest after being touched.
A fundraiser for Anthony’s legal fees insists he’s been “wrongfully charged” with first-degree m*rder and has raised over $500,000.
