Father Of $tabbed Teen Austin Metcalf Ejected From Suspect Karmelo Anthony’s Press Conference — VIDEO
Jeff Metcalf, father of fatally st*bbed Frisco teen Austin Metcalf, was escorted out of a press conference Thursday after making an unexpected appearance. The event, held by the parents of Karmelo Anthony—the teen accused in the st*bbing—was interrupted when Jeff arrived, wearing sunglasses and occasionally talking on the phone.
“What we saw…of the father being here…is a disrespect to the dignity of his son,” said Minister Dominique Alexander, president of NGAN.
Jeff told CBS News Texas’ JD Miles he hoped the event would offer “an opportunity for the two families to come together in a productive way.” However, police warned him he’d be charged with trespassing if he didn’t leave—he complied.
Alexander insisted Jeff’s presence was “inappropriate,” saying, “He knows…But he did it. Actions speak louder than words.”
He also accused “conservative operatives” of politicizing the case, adding, “[Metcalf] fell into the political operatives.”
