UPDATE: Alijah Arenas Making Progress, Walking & Talking Following Serious Cybertruck Crash
Alijah Arenas is showing remarkable signs of recovery just days after his frightening Cybertruck accident.
The 18-year-old hooper is now walking and talking, though his road to full health remains long, according to his family.
“Although Alijah has shown significant improvement following the traumatic experience, he still has a long road to full recovery due to severe smoke inhalation,” a rep for the Arenas and Govan families told TMZ Sports.
Alijah Arenas was able to walk and speak with his parents, Laura Govan and Gilbert Arenas, at his side, but he remains hospitalized under close observation with more testing underway.
High carbon dioxide levels suggest Alijah Arenas inhaled heavy smoke before good Samaritans pulled him from the wreckage, which was wrapped around a tree.
Speed is believed to have caused the 4:55 AM crash.
Prayers for a speedy recovery for Alijah Arenas.
