Update: Tory Lanez’s team has confirmed that he was $tabbed a total of 14 times.
Both of the rapper’s lungs collapsed, and he was initially placed on a breathing machine. He is now breathing on his own, but in a lot of pain.
The motive remains unclear.

Original Story: An investigation is underway after Tory Lanez, 32, was st@bbed by another inmate at California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi.
“An investigation has been initiated by CCI’s Investigative Services Unit and the Kern County District Attorney’s Office,” a CDCR spokesperson told The Post, adding, “The Office of the Inspector General has been notified.”
The rapper, real name Daystar Peterson, is serving a 10-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020.
“At approximately 7:20 a.m. today… Peterson was attacked…Staff immediately responded, activated 911 and began medical aid,” the spokesperson confirmed. Lanez was hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries.
The motive remains unclear.
