As previously reported, Todd and his wife, Julie, were convicted in 2022 of tax evasion and defrauding banks out of more than $36 million in personal loans. After being released thanks to a pardon from President Trump, Todd spoke at a press conference in Nashville:
“I understand the shame that’s around it, but I refuse to feed into that because shame is like a cancer that just spreads, and I have no shame.”
He and Julie have both maintained their innocence. Todd also shared during the press conference that he now plans to focus on criminal justice reform and return to reality TV.
