‘Power Book II: Ghost’ Star Woody McClain Abruptly Walks Out Of Interview w/ Cam Newton After Emotionally Speaking O Being Typecast In ‘Bad Person’ Roles
Actor Woody McClain was overcome with emotion while speaking about the weight of being perceived as a bad person simply because of how he looks. ?
During an interview on Cam Newton’s Funky Fridays podcast, the Power Book II: Ghost star recalled a time when he was typecast as a “thug” and “killer” by multiple people during an acting workshop. Woody couldn’t hold back his feelings as he spoke about wanting to be more intentional with the roles he takes, explaining that he no longer wants to be seen as a “bad person.”
As his emotions bubbled up, Woody abruptly walked off set before tearfully returning and apologizing to Cam.
If you recall, Woody issued a public apology to Cam last week for his “actions” during the podcast interview, though at the time, it wasn’t clear what had happened.
It seems Woody just wanted to clear the air ahead of the episode’s release, as his emotions clearly got the best of him. ?
