Big Boi’s Uncle K*lled In Atlanta Road Rage $hooting: ‘A Moment Of Rage Has Totally Pierced The Heart Of My Family Forever’
Big Boi is mourning a heartbreaking loss.
The #Outkast rapper’s uncle, Remoin “Uncle Moonie” Patton, was fatally $hot during a road rage incident in Atlanta on June 16. According to police, the 62-year-old was driving on Joseph E. Lowery Blvd NW when he got into a verbal altercation with another driver. “During the altercation, Patton was shot, causing him to crash his vehicle into a vacant residence,” officials said.
He was found with a gun$hot wound to the back and pronounced de@d at the scene.
Big Boi paid tribute to his uncle in several social media posts, writing,
“Long Live Uncle Moonie … Miss ya Unc.”
He also told WSBTV,
“Everybody who knows Uncle Moonie heart aches. He wasn’t just ‘My’ Uncle, he was Unc to all that met him. A moment of rage has totally pierced the heart of my family forever. May Uncle Moonie’s soul rest in peace.”
The suspected $hooter, 18-year-old Jabryion Crumbley, turned himself in on July 2 and is facing m*rder charges. His relative, Janisha Crumbley, was also arrested and charged with hindering the apprehension of a felon.
RIP Uncle Moonie.
