Jane Eugene, a member of the legendary British R&B group Loose Ends, has reportedly been detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for allegedly overstaying her visa by 19 years, according to The Source.
The singer is best known for her work in the 1980s, when Loose Ends gained international acclaim with their signature blend of soul, R&B, and funk. Her reported arrest has sparked widespread attention and concern, raising questions about immigration enforcement and the challenges faced by international artists living and working in the U.S.
A GoFundMe has been started to help Jane fight the immigrations case. It has raised over $6,000 as of Thursday night.
