Reality Star Julie Chrisley Claims Prison Time Left Her w/ Lung Issues From Asbestos Exposure
Julie Chrisley says her time behind bars left her with more than just trauma.
During a recent episode of her Chrisley Confessions podcast, the reality star claimed she developed a health issue while serving 28 months at Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. “I have a lung condition from being in prison,” she told listeners, alleging that she was breathing in “asbestos.”
Julie said fans may have already picked up on it: “You will probably notice me at certain times… trying to get a breath.”

Her husband, Todd Chrisley, noted that she hasn’t been formally diagnosed but has an upcoming appointment with a pulmonologist.
In response to the claim, the Federal Bureau of Prisons told Us Weekly they take their duty seriously to keep inmates and staff safe: “Human treatment of men and women is our top priority.”
If you recall, Julie and Todd were recently released from prison after President Donald Trump pardoned their fraud convictions.
