A recent Delta flight took a terrifying turn after it hit unexpected turbulence, leaving dozens injured.

Passenger Leeann Nash described the moment, saying, “There was actually no warning. It was a very abrupt, hard hit. If you didn’t have your seat belt on — everyone that didn’t — they hit the ceiling, and then they fell to the ground. The carts also hit the ceiling and fell to the ground. People were injured… it happened several times, so it was really scary.”
Despite the chaos, Nash praised the crew, saying the flight attendants were “incredibly calm, very well trained, and very responsive.”
The Federal Aviation Administration is currently investigating.
