Eagles Quarterback Jalen Hurts Shares Advice He Gave NFL Rookie Shedeur Sanders: ‘It Takes A Great Deal Of Patience & Hard Work & A Sense Of Resilience’
Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders is making the most of his preseason by learning from veterans.
Hurts shared a “lengthy conversation” with Sanders after joint practice.
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo captured the moment as the pair spoke apart from their teammates, with Eagles head of security “Big Dom” DiSandro nearby.
“I’ll keep the conversation intimate. We had a very lengthy conversation,” Hurts told reporters. “He came to me and just wanted to talk. I’m always there… giving my perspective on what I see and how I’ve gone about things. Ultimately, it takes a great deal of patience and hard work and a sense of resilience. You gotta want it… I’m supporting him from where I am and wishing him nothing but the best.”
Hurts capped the exchange by giving Sanders a golf cart ride. Despite an oblique injury on Wednesday, Sanders stayed after practice to learn from Hurts.
