Michael Jordan’s Tequila Brand, Cincoro, Hit w/ Class Action Lawsuit, Accused Of Misleading Consumers Over ‘100% Agave’
Label Claim
#MichaelJordan’s tequila brand is being accused of false marketing.
#CincoroTequila, co-owned by NBA legend Michael Jordan, was hit with a class-action lawsuit late last month in the Southern District of Florida for allegedly misleading consumers.
Plaintiff Nabil Haschemie alleges that lab tests found the Blanco variety contains “material amounts” of ethanol not sourced from Blue Weber agave, despite labeling the product as 100% agave.

Haschemie believes consumers would not pay so much for #Cincoro, retailing between $89.99 and $1,724.99 per bottle, if they were aware of the “truth about the ingredients.”
Cincoro strongly denies the claims, stating:
“Cincoro is, and always has been, crafted exclusively from 100% Blue Weber agave. We stand firmly behind the integrity of our brand and will vigorously defend it both in court.”
Haschemie wants a jury trial and injunction to stop Cincoro Tequila from “continuing to engage in false, misleading, and deceptive advertising and marketing practices.”
