Speaking with Tamron Hall, Todd expressed concern over Gary’s ex-wife, #ShannonPrice, deciding to remove the Diff’rent Strokes from life support. According to Todd, Shannon agreed to requests from Gary’s friends to “give him more time” to recover. However, she allegedly went back on her word, ultimately having doctors end the support. He passed on May 28, 2010, at the age of 42.
Gary was placed in a medically induced coma two days before his de@th after suffering an intracranial hemorrhage from a fall. Reportedly, doctor, unaware that Gary and Shannon had secretly divorced, made Shannon the decision maker on the actor’s health. In July, Shannon claimed in A&E’s Lie Detector: Truth or Deception special that she “had no choice” because her ex “had gone into cardiac arrest, and that is ultimately what took his life.”
