The woman left a heartwarming message in the comments of Cardi’s new interview with podcaster #JayShetty, recalling a chance encounter with the rapper. According to the commenter, in 2018, Cardi checked into a hotel where she worked and noticed her child behind the desk. “I was terrified I might get in trouble or lose my job,” the woman said. “Instead, she smiled with so much warmth and told me she used to hide at her mom’s job too.”

The woman continued, sharing that when #Cardi left, she gifted her child “coloring books, crayons, snacks, and toys,” and gave her a “huge tip.” She added, “Her compassion and understanding reminded me that even in hard times, we’re seen, valued, and capable of rising above.
