Taiwan Scientists Create Serum That Reportedly Regrows Hair In
Just 20 Days
Good news for those trying to recover from hair loss.
Researchers at National Taiwan University (#NTU) have developed a topical hair-growth serum that reportedly can trigger hair regrowth in just 20 days.
According to reports, the innovative formula uses naturally-derived fatty acids, including oleic and palmitoleic acids, which were shown in animal tests to activate fat cells in the skin, thereby “waking up” dormant hair-follicle stem cells.
Lead researcher Sung?Jan Lin even experimented with an early version of the serum on his own legs and reported noticeable regrowth after three weeks: “I personally applied these fatty acids, dissolved in alcohol, on my thighs for three weeks and I found it promoted hair regrowth.”
While the product is still in early stages (with animal testing complete and human trials on the horizon), the team has already secured a patent and is positioning the serum as a non-invasive alternative to conventional treatments like minoxidil.
If/when this becomes available in the US, would you give it a try?
