Million Donation
#MacKenzieScott has been giving major contribution-to-society vibes lately.
Another #HBCU, #ClarkAtlantaUniversity, just announced a large donation from billionaire philanthropist MacKenzie Scott. The university revealed she has gifted $38 million, following a $15 million contribution five years ago, bringing her total donation to an impressive $53 million, the largest private gift in #CAU’s history.
This news follows Scott’s recent wave of generosity, which includes an $80 million donation to #HowardUniversity, a $38 million gift to #SpelmanCollege, and $70 million to the United Negro College Fund to support its 37-member HBCUs. Scott, who signed the Giving Pledge in 2019, vowing to donate more than half her wealth, certainly appears to be keeping her promise.
