Despite a ruling from a federal judge, #PresidentTrump isn’t budging.
#DonaldTrump announced Tuesday (Nov. 4) that federal food assistance benefits will not be distributed until #Democrats vote to reopen the government. In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote that Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (#SNAP) benefits “will be given only when the Radical Left Democrats open up government, which they can easily do, and not before!”
His statement came one day after the U.S. Department of Agriculture (#USDA) said it would comply with the court order requiring the agency to distribute at least partial SNAP benefits during the ongoing government shutdown. The USDA oversees the program, which provides monthly food aid to millions of low-income Americans.
