Actress & Model Ruby Rose Exposes Nicki Minaj For Allegedly Mistreating Tour Staff, Claims Rapper Would Randomly Fire People When Upset

Celebrities are beginning to speak out against #NickiMinaj. On Monday (Jan. 19), the rapper made headlines after using a homophobic slur while calling out journalist #DonLemon, criticizing him for covering a protest at a church where the pastor is believed to be an ICE employee.

On Threads, model and Orange Is the New Black actress #RubyRose came to Don’s defense. Responding to a screenshot of Nicki’s rant, Ruby shared her own experience working with the Super Bass rapper during 2012, when she served as a supporting act on the Pink Friday Reloaded tour.

According to Ruby, tour staff lived in constant fear of being fired without warning. “Her ego is so outsized she HAD to fire someone after every show. …she fired the security for not seamlessly carrying her from the stage – because she went to jump off several bars early,” Ruby claimed. She also recalled a night when Nicki allegedly threatened to fire everyone after her real age was leaked in birthday messages. While Ruby said she’s waiting for Nicki’s next outburst to reveal more, she told Don, “For months I’d held my Nicki stories back, barely. But in response to what she said about you, I posted some today. I adore you and your response.”

Ruby wasn’t alone in speaking out. Community star #YvetteNicoleBrown also shared claims of a negative working experience. “I know someone who worked on the wardrobe team that did a fitting at her house. She wouldn’t allow anyone to use the bathroom. Not even the guest bathroom near the front door,” Yvette wrote, “Just decided that they didn’t deserve to relieve themselves on her sacred premises. #Trash,” she added. Nicki has not responded to the allegations.
