DaBaby Shuts Down Claims He’s Performing At MAGA-Themed Valentine’s Day Event
#DaBaby said anything involving his name and politics is “fake news.”
The rapper has seemingly denied claims that he would be performing at a MAGA-themed Valentine’s event, pushing back against political speculation tied to his name. After a promotional flyer circulated on social media suggesting he’d be part of the February 13 event, DaBaby received backlash online, with one person saying, “DaBaby, Nelly, Snoop Dogg, #KanyeWest, NBA YoungBoy, Kodak Black and rest of the rappers all should’ve been met with the same energy that Chrisette Michele got when she did a Trump event.” Another added, “There will always be a long list of ignorant or washed-up rappers willing to sell out their own race to make a buck. DaBaby is just the latest to be used.”
Amid the backlash, DaBaby took to X to clarify his stance and dismiss the reports. He wrote, “Anything mentioning my name & politics right now is fake news.” He added, “Don’t take the bait!” The flyer was shared by influencer CJ Pearson, a known #Trump supporter, though it appears the post has since been removed.
