Draya Michele Reacts to ‘Basketball Wives’ Ending, Pitches Shaunie Henderson One Last Idea
Draya Michele appears to be reacting to the official end of Basketball Wives after series creator Shaunie Henderson confirmed the long-running reality show will not be returning.
Shaunie Henderson, formerly known as Shaunie O’Neal, shared a statement announcing the show’s conclusion, thanking BET, VH1, Shed Media and longtime supporters while describing the moment as a “transition.” TheJasmineBrand exclusively revealed in 2025 that Basketball Wives was ending and would wrap without a reunion.
Shortly after Shaunie’s post, Draya took to Instagram Stories with a message directed at producer suggesting “maybe one more giddie up.” She floated the idea of a filmed farewell dinner and added that she would be open to co-executive producing the moment.
The post immediately sparked conversation among fans, many of whom viewed it as a nod to the franchise’s cultural impact and the relationships — both real and volatile — that helped make the show a reality-TV staple.
Shaunie has since made it clear she’s focused on growth and new projects moving forward, signaling a definitive close to the Basketball Wives chapter.
While no farewell special has been announced, Draya’s response shows that even with the show officially over, the Basketball Wives legacy — and interest around it — still has life.
