Savannah Guthrie Was Reportedly Warned Not To Offer $1 Million Reward Immediately In Mom Nancy’s Disappearance

Savannah Guthrie reportedly wanted to offer a $1 million reward for her missing mother almost immediately — but was warned not to.

More than three weeks after 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie vanished, the Today co-host announced she would give “up to $1million for any information that leads us to her recovery.”

However, according to Fox News reporter Michael Ruiz, sources familiar with the case said Guthrie pushed to put up the money “on the first day of the investigation,” but was “advised by law enforcement to hold off.”

“Doing so earlier might overwhelm the infrastructure set up to field leads, tens of thousands of which have been coming in organically,” Ruiz shared via X. “They are now offering the seven figure sum after coordinating with investigators. They are working closely with law enforcement on this.”

Nancy was last seen January 31 and reported missing February 1. Authorities later released images of a masked individual captured on her Nest camera, though no suspect has been identified.

As the search continues, Guthrie has made an emotional plea, telling the public, “Someone out there knows something that can bring her home.”

Do you think the high reward was a good idea?
