Mary Cosby’s Son Robert Cosby Jr. Filed Motion Accusing Ex-Wife Of ‘Fabricating’ Ab*se Allegations Weeks Before His D*ath
Robert Cosby Jr., the son of “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Mary Cosby, had planned to challenge domestic v*olence allegations made by his ex-wife shortly before his d*ath at age 23.
Court documents filed on February 10 show that Robert Jr. disputed claims made by Alexiana Arian Smokoff, accusing her of “fabricating” a reported 2024 incident.
“Defendant Robert Cosby and the alleged Victim were married during the time of this late reported allegation (May 18, 2024); however, the relationship deteriorated and they are now divorced. Not all divorces are amicable. It is the Defendant’s position that the alleged victim is now fabricating an incident in retaliation for a failed marriage,” the filing stated.
His attorney, Clayton Simms, also suggested Smokoff could face charges including obstruction of justice and allegedly providing false information to law enforcement.
Robert Jr. d*ed on February 23, less than two weeks after the motion was filed, after authorities responded to an overdose call.
Simms later said, “It’s unfortunate these false allegations are popping up at a time when Mary and Robert Sr. are grieving. They’re focused on healing.”
Let’s continue to keep Mary and their family in our thoughts and prayers.
