Meghan Markle’s ‘As Ever’ Brand Moves Forward Independently As Netflix Steps Down As Investor
Streaming giant Netflix is no longer an investor in Meghan Markle’s lifestyle venture “As Ever,” the company confirmed this week. The brand, launched nearly a year ago, debuted with products including teas, jams, honey and baking mixes and was closely tied to Markle’s cooking and lifestyle series “With Love, Meghan.”
“Meghan’s passion for elevating everyday moments in beautiful yet simple ways inspired the creation of the As Ever brand, and we are glad to have played a role in bringing that vision to life,” a Netflix spokesperson told Variety. “As it was always intended, Meghan will continue growing the brand and take it into its next chapter independently.”
A spokesperson for the Sussexes echoed the sentiment, telling the outlet the company is “grateful for Netflix’s partnership through launch and our first year. We have experienced meaningful and rapid growth and As ever is now ready to stand on its own.”
Netflix previously described its role as a “passive partner,” using the brand as a discovery platform tied to Markle’s cultural influence and media projects.
What do you think Meghan’s next move will be?
