[UPDATE] Lil Nas X Avoids Additional Jail Time In LAPD Battery Case, Must Complete 2-Year
Mental Health Program
Rapper #LilNasX has reportedly been ordered into a mental health diversion program following his alleged altercation with Los Angeles police.
During a court appearance today (Apr. 6), a judge agreed to allow the case to move toward diversion, a process that can prioritize mental health treatment over prosecution. The decision could ultimately lead to the charges being dismissed if he successfully completes the program, which will reportedly run for 2-years.
The case stems from an August 2025 incident in which Lil Nas X, real name Montero Hill, was arrested after police responded to reports of a nearly naked man walking along Ventura Boulevard. Authorities allege he charged at officers and punched an officer in the face, leading to multiple felony charges, including battery on a police officer. He later pleaded not guilty and was released on bail, with his attorneys emphasizing that the incident was out of character.
Following his court appearance, Lil Nas X briefly addressed fans, saying, “I really love, and I miss you, and I appreciate your support so much,” and added, “I can’t wait to be back hugging you guys.”
