Pacers’ Tyrese Haliburton Details Intense Recovery Journey From Shingles: It Has Not Been Any Fun
Prayers up for NBA player Tyrese Haliburton!
The #IndianaPacers star is opening up about the unexpected challenges he’s faced while recovering from his Achilles injury, revealing that a bout with shingles has been even tougher than his rehab process. Haliburton explained to the press that while his Achilles is healing well, the lingering effects of shingles have made day-to-day life difficult, saying, “It has not been any fun.”
He detailed how the illness has impacted him physically, including weight gain, facial swelling, and even the loss of part of his eyebrow. He’s also battling nerve pain and vision issues. Despite trying multiple treatments, Haliburton said, for the most part, it’s been “bad days.” While the road back hasn’t been easy, he is staying focused on getting healthy and returning to the court at full strength.
