“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Bozoma Saint John is opening up about the unexpected role Tina Knowles played in her love story with now-fiancé Keely Watson.

While attending a watch party for the hit Bravo series, Saint John reflected on how she initially turned down a setup with Watson after meeting his family through mutual connections.

“I was at his nephew’s house… It was there that his nephew told me that Keely had seen a picture of me and asked if he could set us up. I was like, ‘I’m not going to date your uncle. Do I look like I date uncles?’” she recalled.

“I was like, ‘Do you see me? Really? This is insulting,’” she added.

Her stance quickly shifted after a group conversation that included Knowles, who appeared intrigued after seeing Watson’s photos online.

“Ms. Tina, she’s like, ‘Well, I date uncles,’ and I was like, ‘You better move. I was here first,’” Saint John joked. “‘This is my uncle. You get out of here!’”

That playful exchange ultimately encouraged Saint John to give Watson a chance. By late 2024, Knowles met him in person and offered her approval, with Saint John recalling, “Yeah, that was good.”

The couple has since moved forward quickly, openly discussing major milestones — including IVF — on camera.

“There were a lot of things that we were dealing with in real time… ‘But we’re not like kids. We’re grown and we are mature. We don’t have time to waste.’”

Now engaged, Saint John and Watson say sharing their journey publicly has made their bond even stronger.
