Dr. Cerina Fairfax is being remembered for a life of excellence and service, even as new details continue to emerge about the tragic m circumstances surrounding her d*ath. A respected dentist and community advocate, Fairfax built a distinguished career while also dedicating time to helping others through outreach and charitable work.

Fairfax earned her Bachelor of Science from Duke University before graduating magna cum laude with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. She later completed advanced dental training and became known for her compassionate patient care and commitment to her community.

Her life was cut short on April 16, when authorities say her estranged husband, former Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax, fatally sh*t her inside their Annandale, Virginia home before taking his own life in what police describe as an apparent murder-s*icide.

Reports indicate the couple had been going through a contentious divorce and were still living together at the time of the sh**ting. Their teenage children were inside the home but were unharmed, with their son calling 911 shortly after midnight.
