Claressa Shields Accuses Boxer Alycia Baumgardner Of Having A ‘Jezebel Spirit’ -Says She Crossed The Line By Mentioning
Boyfriend Papoose
In a lengthy Instagram Live on Friday, Claressa Shields went off on Alycia Baumgardner just days after Shields was seen slapping the fellow boxer on camera.
According to Claressa, her issue with Alycia goes beyond boxing. She claimed Baumgardner has repeatedly brought up her relationship with Papoose instead of keeping their tension centered on the sport.
“I never spoke about how she’s a wh*re…how many guys she done slept with. How many boxers she done slept with,” Claressa said.
“But she has gotten too comfortable. First you disrespect my boxing…try to disrespect my legacy, try to say I got AI six-pack…and then after all that sh*t don’t work, then you bring it to my relationship.”
Claressa said she approached Alycia to warn her to stop speaking about her relationship before the situation escalated. During the Live, the fighter also accused Baumgardner of having a “Jezebel spirit.”
The moment grew even more heated when Claressa played a video of Adrien Broner naming several men he claimed had “ran through” Alycia.
The fallout from the slap may not be over. Claressa is reportedly facing possible criminal charges connected to the altercation. Jake Paul’s MVP promotion company has also banned Shields from its events following the incident.
Claressa, however, appears ready to take legal action of her own, saying she now wants to sue for defamation.
