Lizzo Sets Record Straight After Being Accused Of Copying Cardi B’s Rollout Strategy Without Giving Proper Credit: I Definitely Took Notes’
#Lizzo isn’t above giving credit where it’s due.
The Grammy winner found herself lumped in with artists like Latto, Drake, and Yung Miami after an X user accused them all of borrowing from #CardiB’s rollout for her 2025 album “Am I the Drama?” without giving proper credit. According to the fan, “latto, caresha, lizzo sh*t drake, summer walker and kehlani has took a page out of Cardi 2025 rollout and it’s evident. they won’t give credit but her impact is undeniable.”
Lizzo, who’s currently gearing up to drop her new project “B*tch” on June 5, didn’t deny being inspired by Cardi but made it clear that she has no issue admitting just that. “Hol up— I’ve publicly said #Cardi’s rollout changed the game and that im inspired by it,” Lizzo replied. “She’s one of the reasons I’m going so hard now. I’m not speaking for anyone else cus idk they tea. But me, I definitely took notes honey.”
