The rapper shocked many by showing up with an afro for his #RootsPicnic headline performance. Shortly after the concert went viral, a loc specialist who reportedly helped with Jay’s switch-up revealed on Threads that it took four days and four bottles of Beyoncé’s #Cécred detangling spray to comb out his locs.

Cécred also shared an image of Jay from the festival, praising head hairstylist Letisia Ravelo for making sure Jay and his hair were performance-ready before he hit the stage.
