Russell Wilson Reportedly Headed To CBS Sports In Major Career Move
Russell Wilson may be preparing for a new role — and this time, it won’t involve throwing touchdowns.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the veteran quarterback is finalizing a deal to join CBS Sports as an NFL analyst. The reported move would place Wilson on the network’s popular pregame coverage as he transitions from the field to television.
The development comes after months of questions surrounding Wilson’s future in football. While the longtime NFL star reportedly explored opportunities to continue playing, CBS appears poised to bring him aboard for a different kind of Sunday role.
Wilson spent the 2025 season with the New York Giants following previous stints with the Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos and Pittsburgh Steelers. During his career, he earned multiple Pro Bowl selections and helped lead Seattle to a Super Bowl championship.
The reported agreement would see Wilson step into a studio lineup featuring some of football’s most recognizable personalities. Neither Wilson nor CBS Sports had publicly announced the deal at the time reports surfaced.
If finalized, the move would mark one of the biggest career pivots of Wilson’s professional journey, taking him from calling plays on the field to breaking down the action for millions of viewers at home.
