Latto Says Cardi B’s Leaked Audio ‘Left A Bad Taste’ In Her Mouth, But Her Response Wasn’t A Diss + Reveals Where They Currently Stand
There still might be a little tension between Latto and #CardiB.
During a sit-down with the Breakfast Club, Latto broke down the timeline of how everything unfolded after audio leaked of Cardi B calling her “p*ssy.” The situation caught the Atlanta rapper completely off guard, especially considering she had just jumped on a record for Cardi and was pregnant at the time. To make matters worse, even though Cardi issued a public apology almost immediately, it allegedly took her a while to reach out to Latto personally.
In the meantime, Latto hit the booth and recorded “Gimme Dat,” taking aim at Cardi’s offer to buy her an expensive bag as a peace offering. However, #Latto clarified that the bar wasn’t a diss, just her putting her feelings into words. She also got candid about the toll the fallout has taken, admitting she did consider Cardi a real friend and things haven’t quite been the same since. Latto added that they haven’t spoken in some time, but she’s open to having a conversation.
