“Love & Hip Hop” Alum Mally Mall Back Behind Bars, Accused Of Witness Tampering While On Probation For S3x Trafficking Case

Las Vegas hip-hop producer Jamal Rashid, known as “Mally Mall,” is back in federal custody after allegedly committing multiple probation violations — the most serious being witness tampering.

According to court records, #MallyMall is accused of using an intermediary, Steven Tolson, also known as “Jazz Lazr,” to contact a woman by phone and offer her cash on Mally Mall’s behalf in exchange for her not appearing at his scheduled revocation hearing. Mall was also accused of communicating with another woman he was court-ordered to have no contact with. The violations are the latest in a string of alleged infractions while on supervised release.

The Love & Hip Hop alum was sentenced to 33 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, in May 2021 after pleading guilty to one count of use of an interstate facility in aid of unlawful activity. He admitted that the escort services he operated in Clark County between 2002 and 2014 were fronts for pro$titution. A judge had previously denied his request to end his probation early, citing the seriousness of his crimes.

Beyond the witness tampering allegation, a petition filed June 5 also flagged that Mall made an unauthorized stop at the #CheesecakeFactory in Henderson and was found to be associated with luxury vehicles — including a Mercedes Maybach, a white Rolls Royce, and a Bentley — that had not been disclosed to his probation officer. This comes despite Mall having previously filed for bankruptcy.
