Steve Harvey Explains Why He Avoids Parties

Steve Harvey is explaining why he prefers staying home over making appearances at celebrity parties.

During a recent interview, the comedian and television host said he intentionally avoids party culture, explaining that he wants to protect both his marriage and his reputation. Harvey said he has no interest in attending the latest celebrity events, regardless of who is hosting them.

You don’t see me nowhere… I’m not going to your party. I don’t go to the white party, the blue party, the pink party, the penny party. I ain’t at nobody’s party. Steve Harvey going home.”

Harvey went on to say that staying home also eliminates unnecessary speculation about his personal life.

You can’t take my picture if I’m at home, can’t put me on TMZ if I’m at home.”

The Family Feud host also praised his relationship with wife Marjorie Harvey, saying she never has to wonder where he is. Even when he’s traveling for work, he makes a point to stay in touch.

My wife don’t have to look for me. I’m her husband and she don’t have to look for me. If I have to spend the night somewhere, she can call me. She ain’t got worry about nothing. I try to erase as much trick stuff out my life as I can.”

Harvey’s comments have since gone viral on social media, with many users applauding his approach to protecting his marriage while steering clear of situations that could invite unwanted attention.
