Lizzo Reveals She’s In Physical Pain Nearly Every Day While Celebrating 2 Billion-Stream Milestone

Lizzo is celebrating a major career milestone while opening up about the personal challenges she’s been facing behind the scenes.

The Grammy-winning singer revealed that her 2022 hit “About Damn Time” has officially surpassed 2 billion streams, making it her second song to reach the milestone. While marking the achievement on Instagram, Lizzo shared an emotional message about what life has been like away from the spotlight.

“I’m weeping on the floor—nobody knows what I’ve been going through privately. It’s been a roller coaster.”

She continued by revealing she’s endured sleepless nights, tears, and physical pain.

“Sometimes I feel like my hands are tied behind my back and life is whooping my ass. But I wake up EVERY DAY and declare victory, even through the sleepless nights, even through the tears, even through my nervous system being so shot I can barely go through a day without physical pain.”

Despite those struggles, Lizzo said she’s leaned on prayer and loved ones to keep moving forward.

“I’ve been working my ass off grinding and praying and speaking to people who I love and loving them back. I am truly blessed and covered and God is reminding me who I am and what He made me to do. No weapon formed against me will prosper—no vicious attacks from people who don’t even know me will stick.”

She ended her message by thanking supporters and celebrating the accomplishment.
