Judge Orders President Trump To Pay E. Jean Carroll $5 Million In S3xual A$$ault Case
#Trump’s getting hit where it hurts — the wallet — while he’s overseas playing diplomat.
A federal judge in New York gave the order Wednesday (July 8) for President Trump to pay up in the E. Jean Carroll case, releasing the $5 million a jury awarded her for sexual abuse and defamation, plus roughly $800K in interest on top. The timing’s brutal: Trump was thousands of miles away at the #NATO summit in Ankara when the paperwork came down from Judge Lewis Kaplan. And that’s just round one. A second jury socked Trump with an even bigger bill — $83 million — in a related defamation case, but that verdict’s still tied up on appeal, so Carroll hasn’t seen that money yet.
