Stefon Diggs’ Accuser Claims New Evidence Shows NFL Star Coordinated Alleged Assault
Stefon Diggs’ Accuser Claims New Evidence Shows NFL Star Coordinated Alleged Assault
The legal battle involving NFL star Stefon Diggs continues to escalate after his accuser, Christopher Griffith, claimed he has obtained text messages and phone records that he says support his allegations against the former New England Patriots wide receiver. According to TMZ, Griffith plans to amend his lawsuit to include the newly obtained evidence.
Griffith alleges the records, which he says were produced during the discovery process, include text messages from Diggs’ assistant coordinating travel and hotel arrangements with one of the men Griffith claims later attacked him. He also alleges phone logs show Diggs contacted one of the alleged assailants while the attack was taking place, pointing to surveillance footage that he says shows the individual on a phone inside his apartment building at the time.
In addition to the new allegations, Griffith is also seeking to add a defamation claim after Diggs recently posted on social media, writing, “Mamas a n**** lying on my name because he got caught stealing,” before adding, “Trying to act like this n**** is a victim because he lying is crazy.” Griffith contends the post was defamatory and should be included in the lawsuit.
The latest filing is part of an ongoing legal dispute stemming from Griffith’s allegations that Diggs drugged and sexually assaulted him during a 2023 encounter at the athlete’s Maryland home. Griffith further claims he was attacked by several men about a week later in an effort to keep him from speaking publicly about the alleged incident. Diggs has repeatedly denied the allegations, previously filing a defamation lawsuit against Griffith and maintaining that the claims are false. The case remains ongoing, and the allegations have not been proven in court.
