Diddy Wants Woman Who Sued Him For Alleged S3xual A$$ault On Yacht To Pay His Legal Bills
Diddy is asking a federal judge to order a woman who accused him of s3xual a$$ault to cover his legal expenses after her lawsuit was dismissed.
According to TMZ, the music mogul is seeking sanctions against Grace O’Marcaigh and her attorneys, arguing they continued pursuing claims that had no legal basis. Diddy’s legal team contends O’Marcaigh refiled her lawsuit even after a judge had already determined her allegations did not meet the legal standard required to move forward.
O’Marcaigh previously accused Diddy of s3xually a$$aulting her aboard a chartered yacht during a 2022 trip in the U.S. Virgin Islands. She filed suit under federal s3x trafficking laws, but earlier this month, a judge dismissed the case, ruling the allegations did not support claims under those statutes. The dismissal was issued without prejudice, meaning O’Marcaigh has the option to pursue some of her claims through a different legal avenue.
Now, Diddy is asking the court to require O’Marcaigh and her legal team to reimburse him for the attorneys’ fees and costs he incurred defending the lawsuit. His attorneys argue the case should never have been refiled and describe the litigation as frivolous. O’Marcaigh’s attorney, however, told TMZ they intend to oppose the request, maintaining that their claims were filed in good faith. The matter remains ongoing.
