Wendy Williams’ Guardian Settles A&E Lawsuit Over Documentary She Claimed Captured The Star At Her Most Vulnerable

Wendy Williams’ court-appointed guardian has ended her legal fight with A&E Television Networks over the controversial documentary focused on the former daytime TV star.

Court documents obtained by TMZ show Sabrina Morrissey and A&E have reached a settlement, with both sides agreeing to drop the lawsuit and resolve all remaining issues.

Morrissey originally tried to block the documentary from airing, but the project was released despite her objections. She also sought additional damages, arguing that Williams was facing “very serious medical issues” that left her “effectively incapacitated.”

The guardian maintained that A&E should not have continued filming Williams under those circumstances. The network pushed back against those claims and reportedly called the argument nonsense.

The settlement finally closes one chapter in the ongoing battle surrounding Williams’ health, finances and court-ordered guardianship. She remains in an assisted living facility while continuing to push for the guardianship to be terminated.

Williams has publicly challenged the restrictions placed on her and has repeatedly expressed a desire to regain control of her life. Details of the settlement were not disclosed, and neither side has publicly explained what terms led to the case being dismissed.
