Singer D4vd Court Hearing Reveals
Celeste Rivas Hernandez Was Pregnant & Had An Abortion Before Her M*rder
Court testimony in singer D4vd’s m*rder case revealed that 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez had become pregnant and underwent an abortion more than a year before her d*ath.
Prosecutors presented text messages exchanged in January 2024 between Celeste and D4vd, whose legal name is David Burke. In the conversation, Burke apologized for “putting her through this.”
“It’s okay,” Celeste responded. “neither of us are capable of watching and taking care of the baby. it’s for the best no?”
Burke then apologized again before questioning whether he was the father. Celeste replied, “of course it’s yours.”
The messages were recovered from Burke’s iCloud account and introduced during a preliminary hearing to determine whether he will stand trial for Celeste’s k*lling. Prosecutors also presented conversations involving contraception, pregnancy and the nature of their alleged s*xual relationship.
Authorities claim Burke began s*xually ab*sing Celeste when she was 13 and he was 18. They allege he later k*lled her after she threatened to expose their history and damage his music career.
Burke has pleaded not guilty to m*rder, s*xual ab*se of a child and mutilation of a body. His attorneys maintain that he is innocent.
