Kelly Rowland Says She Quit Drinking Alcohol 18 Months Ago
Kelly Rowland is opening up about a lifestyle change that’s made a noticeable difference in her overall health.
During a recent conversation with Women’s Health, the Grammy-winning singer revealed that she stopped drinking alcohol about a year and a half ago. While she admits she still misses enjoying a glass of white wine, she says the benefits have far outweighed the sacrifice.
“I’ve actually recently, well it was now a year and a half ago, I stopped drinking. Don’t get me wrong. I miss my white wine. But I feel good. I feel really good. My sleep is better. I don’t feel as groggy.”
Rowland went on to explain that she began noticing how alcohol affected her body the following day.
“Because I remember having a glass or having a little cocktail and the next day I was like, ‘Why is this day so hard?’ My brain fogged really bad.”
The Destiny’s Child star added that the experience has made her pay closer attention to how different foods impact her overall well-being.
“I’m trying to notice things with food. And how it makes you feel. The next day.”
In addition to improving her sleep and reducing brain fog, Rowland has also said that eliminating alcohol has become part of her broader wellness routine, helping her feel healthier and more energized overall.
