LeToya Luckett Sidesteps Claims Radio Stations Were Warned Not To Play Her Music Following Destiny’s Child Exit
#LeToyaLuckett is pleading the fifth.
During a IG livestream, the singer didn’t seem too eager to revisit the past or get into the behind-the-scenes drama surrounding her exit from #DestinysChild. When claims were brought up that someone allegedly called radio stations with a “mandate” not to play LeToya’s music — or risk not receiving future records from “this group” — LeToya said she wasn’t aware of that happening at the time, before quickly trying to steer the conversation in a more positive direction. Still, despite her efforts to pivot, more allegations from that era kept surfacing on the stream. Whatever really happened back then, LeToya seems content to let that case stay closed.
