Beyoncé Is Reportedly Now The Sole Owner Of SirDavis Whisky Two Years After Partnering With Moët Hennessy
Beyoncé is taking full control of her growing spirits venture, becoming the sole owner of SirDavis American Whisky after launching the brand with Moët Hennessy in 2024.
The Grammy winner originally created SirDavis with the LVMH-owned wine and spirits company, naming the whiskey after her paternal great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, a farmer and moonshiner in the American South during Prohibition.
The whiskey was developed with Beyoncé, SirDavis head blender Cameron George and Dr. Bill Lumsden, director of whisky creation for Glenmorangie and Ardbeg. The 44% ABV spirit features a mash bill of 51% rye and 49% malted barley and retails for $89.
Financial terms surrounding Beyoncé’s takeover have not been made public.
SirDavis marked Moët Hennessy’s first spirits brand created from the ground up in the United States. The whiskey is produced by MGP Ingredients before being finished, blended and bottled in Texas, Beyoncé’s home state.
