Houston Rockets Star Tari Eason Requests Restraining Order-Says Ex Punched Him In The Face & Poured Bleach On $92K Worth Of Clothes

Houston Rockets forward Tari Eason is seeking court protection from an ex-girlfriend after accusing her of assaulting him, thr*atening his safety and destroying tens of thousands of dollars in clothing.

According to a petition obtained by TMZ, Eason filed for a domestic v*olence restraining order Thursday against 32-year-old Marilyn Maritza Melo Rodriguez, whom he described as someone he “used to date.”

Eason claims one of Rodriguez’s friends called him to “tell me that she would ‘break both of my legs’ and ‘kill me,’” which he said left him fearing for his life.

He also alleges Rodriguez became violent after her mother asked him to drive her home. Eason says a discussion escalated and Rodriguez “repeatedly struck me in the face with a closed fist.”

After he left, Eason claims Rodriguez returned to his Airbnb, where she “took all my clothes and poured liquid bleach on them, ruining them.” He estimates the damaged personal property was worth $92,000.

The 25-year-old is asking a judge to order Rodriguez to stay away from him, his home, workplace, vehicle and any California arena where the Rockets play. Eason is entering his fifth NBA season.
