UK Rapper Yung Filly Found Not Guilty On 3 Rape Charges, Convicted On 2 Assault Charges
British rapper and YouTube personality Yung Filly has been found not guilty on three counts of s3xual penetration without consent following a high-profile trial in Australia. However, a jury convicted the entertainer on two counts of a$$ault occasioning bodily harm stemming from the same incident.
The jury was unable to reach verdicts on three additional r@pe-related charges, resulting in a hung jury on those counts. Prosecutors will now decide whether to seek a retrial on the unresolved allegations. Yung Filly was also found not guilty of one additional a$$ault charge and a charge of str@ngulation. He remains on bail, with the court expected to set a sentencing date at a later hearing.
The case centered on allegations involving a then-20-year-old woman following Yung Filly’s September 2024 performance in Perth, Australia. Prosecutors alleged the pair initially had consensual s3x before the encounter became non-consensual, while the defense maintained the allegations were false. Throughout the trial, Yung Filly—whose legal name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos—pleaded not guilty to all charges.
The case is not yet fully concluded, as prosecutors must determine whether to move forward with the three unresolved r@pe charges, while sentencing proceedings will address the a$$ault convictions.
