Gospel Singer Tina Campbell Files Divorce Response, Seeks Joint Custody & Termination Of Spousal Support

Mary Mary’s Tina Campbell has officially responded to estranged husband Teddy Campbell’s divorce petition, revealing what she’s asking the court for as their marriage comes to an end.

According to court documents, Tina, whose legal name is Trecina Campbell, filed a Response and Request for Dissolution of Marriage in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Aug. 3. In the filing, she asks the court to dissolve the marriage based on irreconcilable differences.

The documents state the couple married on Aug. 12, 2000, and separated on Aug. 8, 2024, ending nearly 24 years of marriage. The filing also confirms the pair share two minor children.

As part of her response, Tina requests joint legal custody and joint physical custody of their children, with reasonable visitation for each parent. She is also asking the court to terminate its ability to award spousal support to either party. In addition, the filing indicates that the couple’s community property and debts will be determined at a later date.

Tina’s response comes months after Teddy Campbell initiated the divorce proceedings. The couple, who rose to fame through the Grammy Award-winning gospel duo Mary Mary and their family’s reality television series, have been candid over the years about challenges in their marriage, including Teddy’s past infidelity. Despite previously reconciling, the couple ultimately separated in 2024.

Neither Tina nor Teddy has publicly commented on Tina’s latest court filing.
